Weddings For The Financial Benefits Of Being Married

by Ron Thomson

We have all been to the weddings of family members or friends as they are a common occurrence in any family and in your social circle. There is nothing like the personal romantic weddings of the days of yore when people were making strong personal commitments to each other. Unfortunately, these days we are finding more and more that the marriage ceremony is becoming less romance related due to the fact that people are getting married for so many different reasons now without love and romance being the major reason.

Marriage can be a mutually beneficial financial arrangement for those who choose to undertake it. For people wishing to purchase their first home, two salaries can be a boon that will allow new homeowners to more easily afford their mortgage payments. A financial agreement such as this should never be the basis of a marriage, however. Sincere love, devotion and commitment are integral to making a house into a genuine home that the couple can share for years to come.

Some pension and health care providers will make benefits payable to spouses that are not given to couples living together. Getting married to allow your significant other access to your medical benefits although in itself is not a bad reason to get married it needs love and romance to be present as well.

Marriage is then either brought forward too soon or rushed into without sufficient thought or regard to its life long relationship meaning. I have many a times even come across young student couples who have decided to marry so they get assessed as being independent from their parents and thus ensure the parents do not have to contribute to college fees etc. (In some cases parents are unwilling to contribute even though the state assesses them as being able to and reduces any student grants accordingly.)

Despite trials, many married couples can hold on to the romance. Marriage ceremonies often include candle lighting that symbolizes the sparks of romance, which turn into a heartwarming flame for life. The couples who have worked the hardest at building their romantic relationships both before and after the wedding are the most able to fan the flames of passion when difficulties arise in their marriages.

Getting married should never be just a business proposition and it should not be treated as such. Thus, by ensuring that you are getting married for the right reasons will ensure that you are going to take the steps necessary to encourage a healthy relationship that will last through the test of time.

Those cosy romantic weddings of earlier days where love was the only consideration are not very common today romantic link ups turning into life long marriages are few and far between now days a marriage ceremony means a party to feel joined together without understanding the basis of it
