Write Love Letters - Romance And Love, Letters As A Lost Art

by Ron Thomson

In the modern high tech world, people choose to communicate electronically, and while we are still taking time to write romantic emails, these emails may not survive long, thanks to frequent computer crashes and hard-disk restores. Hence the good old skill or perhaps the art of how to write romantic love letters is at risk of falling by the way side.

Historians are very thankful that it was a common practice to write love letters to one's beloved in years past. Through these letters, we learned a lot about the daily life of ordinary people in history, because love notes were usually cherished possessions that recipients and their families kept for years, even after the lovers died or separated.

After you write love letters, you will want to preserve them for years and years. A high quality paper and envelope and a pen whose ink will not fade are essential to keeping the letters in good readable condition.

There is great value in the spontaneous love note scribbled on a scrap of paper or the back of a napkin, even though such fly decorations of love may not last forever, but these are expressions of joy of the moment and your loved one will surely know that you were thinking of them at inconvenient times also and all that you could find was a napkin or a scap of paper. Not to forget the classic, lipstick on a mirror.

When you write love letters, take your own time as the time it takes is as much precious gift as the note or the sentiments it conveys. You should be specific mentioning things your love may not realize that you have noticed, like the way he talks, or the way she touches her hair. Visualize each sentence over in yur mind before putting it on the paper.

If you are lucky enough to receive love letters, keep them, and keep them safe. If the love doesn't last, keep the letters tucked away somewhere none the less. Twenty years from now they are nice to look at with a healed heart.

A well written letter of love will be kept for many years, perhaps decades or longer, and may be passed on as a family heirloom. Perhaps more important, they can bring joy in to your love life right now, and in today's fast paced world, love letters can be an unexpected gift.

Due to the high tech world we live in the art of written love letters is being lost in favor of electronic communication. Though some write romantic emails these are not as enduring as letters written on quality paper with good ink. Still others choose to write love letters in the form of spontaneous notes to their sweetheart. The best kind of love letters are well thought out and specific. If you write romantic love letters like this your partner will likely keep these unexpected gifts for years, perhaps passing them down as heirlooms. If you receive any store them carefully for future reading, regardless of the relationship's outcome.
