Looking Young with Facial Exercises

by Jen Hopkins

Every woman or man desires to look good and young despite the age. When standing in front of a mirror, one would wish to have a pleasing reflection. That is why no matter how expensive and complicated facial treatments are, it is still the best option that one would likely consider. Nevertheless, a more natural way such as facial exercise would deprive one of the frustrations and disappointments in achieving a younger looking skin.

One of the fastest growing fitness programs these days are facial exercise. It is all natural. People who practice facial exercises are mostly to get rid of the unwanted wrinkles. Not only that, it can also redefine the cheekbones, jaw lines as well as the nose. The papery skin around the neck and under the eyes is alleviated in the process. The lips become fuller and the nose is more defined. Achieve all these at a lesser cost.

Exercising firms the body, why not let it firm the skin on your face too. Muscles are directly attached to the skin. If you can firm those muscles, firming the skin is much faster. It's all about muscle resistance training.

A study once showed , there are fifty-seven muscles in the face and neck wherein twenty-six are voluntary. When one's face moves frequently, for at least 15 hours a day, it will put all these muscles to work. This inhibits the circulation of blood around the face, and erases all the stress and tensions of your day.

Increase the blood circulation, and the right amount of oxygen and nutrients reach all your cells. These healthy conditions promote regeneration to rid of the dead cells and grow new ones for healthier and glowing skin.

As with any exercise routine, there are certain things you need to avoid when doing the facial exercise plan.

- avoid strenuous scrubbing of the face - use the downward motion when cleansing the face - leaning on one's chin or cheek on the hand - sipping beverages from straw - unnecessary squinting

As one may worry that signs of aging are already creeping in, the exercise can somehow contribute to the positive outlook in one's life. It is not yet too late to start. No matter how developed those lines are, one can still get rid of them. It may need a longer time as compared to those who started early, but still good results are expected.
