Sun Damaged Skin: Rely on Natural Skin Products

by Aileen Fitzharris

When we're young our skin is very resilient and bounces back from damage when damaged. However, there are some situations that will negatively affect your skin, but won't show signs until many years later, such as sun damage. So, don't think that the sunburn you had in your teens won't come back to haunt you in your older years.

Sun damage is one of the biggest promoters or premature aging. As soon as your thirties come around (sooner if you were an avid sunbathing fan in your teens), you can see the effects of sun exposure. You will begin to notice dryness, dark spots and wrinkles.

Even though sun damage cannot be undone you can do a few things to treat the lesser damage or simply mask some of the signs of premature aging.

Natural skin products are an excellent option for keeping your skin from going through more damage. These products usually contain high levels of antioxidants to neutralize the free radicals caused by sun exposure. Finding the right treatment means finding wrinkle creams that not only contain potent antioxidants, but also contain other ingredients such as hyaluronic acid or Helix Aspersa Muller extract.

However, lotions and creams are not the only way you can help control premature aging due to sun exposure. As a matter of fact, the best "anti aging cream" you can have in your medicine cabinet is a good sunscreen.

Before going out of your house you should apply a sunscreen that has an SPF of at least 30. This should be done thirty minutes before going outside. Once outside, make sure that you reapply every 45 minutes to maintain your skin protected. If you purchase a sunscreen that has a higher SPF, you won't need to reapply as often.

When you go outside you should wear protective garments. Garments such as wide brimmed hats and long sleeved shirts are a good way to minimize sun exposure. If you want a tan, use a spray-on tan or self tanning lotion.

Anti aging skin care isn't just about using topical creams and lotions. A healthy diet can also help your skin look younger. Make sure that you are getting plenty of fruits, vegetables and water to keep your skin hydrated.

Fresh fruits and vegetables are rich in antioxidants making it possible for the body to neutralize free radical damage. Other foods that you should incorporate into your diet are whole grains and lean proteins (like fish).

Some foods that are known to be very high in antioxidants are strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries. Berries are considered a wonder food and are even used in natural skin care products because of their antioxidant properties.

BIOSKINREJUVENATION is a natural skin care product that helps inhibit the production of melanin. This anti aging lotion is made with Helix Aspersa Muller extract, a natural ingredient that is a great moisturizer for sun damaged and aged skin. Another important ingredient that can be found in this wrinkles cream is hyaluronic, an ingredient that makes any wrinkle cream a beneficial treatment for aging skin.
