The Effects of Wrinkle Creams

by Jen Hopkins

As one grows older, wrinkles and other signs of aging slowly start to appear on the face. Since people would want to stay looking younger longer, they would try a lot of methods just to delay the formation of these signs of aging. This is why many procedures have been developed as to reduce and eliminate these signs.

These signs of aging start to form due to the body slowing down its production of collagen and elastin. These proteins are responsible for maintaining the skin's elasticity. With fewer of these proteins, the skin loses its elasticity making it prone to sag, and form fine lines and wrinkles.

In addition to wrinkles and sagging skin, other signs of aging include puffiness and dark lines under the eyes. These are formed when the blood flow in this area slows down, which causes fluids to leak out. The accumulation of fluids causes the puffiness in this area as well as the dark lines.

With the many developments in science and technology, we have now discovered how these signs of aging arise. Because of these, many ways have also been developed as to how to combat these effects. One example of the results of these studies is the creation of wrinkle creams, which are now very accessible on the market.

Different wrinkle creams have different modes of action. Some creams focus more on the eyes and work by increasing cell regeneration so that younger cells may replace the older ones, giving the eyes a more glowing appearance. Others may also stimulate better circulation so that puffiness and dark lines under the eyes may be reduced or even eliminated.

Other creams focus on the elimination of wrinkles. These mostly work by increasing cell regeneration so that older cells are replaced, just like eye creams. In addition to this, they also stimulate collagen and elastin production so that the skin can regain its elasticity and wrinkles may be reduced or eliminated.

Most creams also have common effects. One of this is having a moisturizing effect so that skin may stay hydrated. Well hydrated skin is more resistant to damage than dry skin, thus it helps prevent the skin from looking old quickly. Another property of most wrinkle creams is that they have antioxidants to help eliminate free radicals, which contribute to faster skin aging if allowed to accumulate.

One of the best ways to eliminate the different signs of aging is through the use of wrinkle creams. This is because they work by reversing the effects of aging. This method is also very easy to do as you will only need a few minutes of your day to apply these creams on your face. It won't even cost you a lot of money to buy wrinkle creams.
