Simple Strategies For Reducing The Visibility Of Your Tummy Fat

by Ben Pate

Belly fat! We all know what it is: it's stubborn, clingy, and annoying. Like so many ex's in the world, we just want our stomach flab gone! There are so many diets out there that swear they know how to lose belly fat and that they'll get rid of it, but nothing really works. Sadly, you can't get a restraining order on it so you'll have to find some other way.

Oatmeal is high in fiber and can help stave off your morning cravings. It stays in your stomach longer and then it encourages your body to release the waste products of your food faster (thank you, fiber!). Stay away from the kinds that are loaded down with sugar, though! Try the plain stuff, regular or crunchy (just read the back first) and then add what you like. It's a meal that's easy to customize with fruit (dried or fresh).

It's not something we women like to talk about very much but: how often you go and how quickly after a meal is just as important as what you put into your system. You could be carrying extra pounds around with you just because you don't go to the bathroom enough. Try to set out some time from each day to "go" effectively. This helps prevent you from feeling the need to rush. Let your body relax.

While eating right is one of the steps that will help you in the long run you may also want something a little more immediate. Well, straightening your posture is a great way to improve the look of your stomach. Not only will it engage those muscles but it stretches the abdomen, giving you a much taller look. You know how distribution works!

Also take a look at your wardrobe. Now, we know it's not always possible to purchase all new clothes. Besides, you're trying to lose all this weight so that you can fit back into the ones you own. Still, take a look at what you have. If your jeans are cutting into your side and making your flab more obvious you should steer clear of them. When you dress look at the presentation you offer. Don't cut into your curves, work with them, you'll feel a lot better about how you look in the end.

Another great and almost effortless way to have an effect on your tummy is to watch what you drink. You know soft drinks are empty calories and juices can be more sugar than juice. Get rid of that junk and substitute it for good old, water. If you don't like water try herbal teas.

You may not have the time, energy, or money to go down to the gym three times a week. No one is mad at you but what you should try to squeeze in is a thirty minute walk. That's right, just thirty minutes! It won't burn as much as a gym visit but it will get your metabolism going and help you digest easier and quicker, which will aid in fat loss.

It's hard to keep your fighting spirit when you've been kicked in the gut by lying diets and empty promises about "how to lose belly fat." The fact of the matter is we don't really NEED magic diets or those little electroshock abdominal pads. All we really need is to improve our habits and stick with making healthy choices. We can achieve fat loss, and finally nip this belly fat in the bud!
